IPO team to participate in symposium at Geneva

A delegation of Intellectual Property Organisation headed by Chairman IPO-Pakistan Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi has reached Geneva to participate in third Symposium of Intellectual Property Authorities to be held on Thursday (today) and Friday (tomorrow), at Geneva.
First ever in the history of Pakistan such a high level delegation including Chairman and Director General IPO is representing Pakistan at the highest forum of IP regimes assembled to discuss the matters relating to formulation of policies, implementation and enforcement of IP laws.
The chairman IPO-Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of General Assembly and international symposium would also meet his counterparts coming from rest of the world and will exchange views on bilateral affairs especially concerning to the automation of registration process in Pakistan and IP rights protection practices in other countries.
Afridi said that utmost efforts were being made for strict enforcement of IP laws in Pakistan and co-ordination among the enforcement agencies had been made more effective with the objective to protect the right of right owners .It reveals the commitment of present government for giving due importance and priority to IP related issues at international forum, the chairman said.-PR
