Prominent artist Jimmy Engineer has urged people of Pakistan, irrespective of their religious and political affiliations, to seek Almighty Allah's mercy and blessings for getting out of the most turbulent situation caused by devastating floods in Sindh and dengue fever in Lahore.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Jimmy said that Almighty Allah seemed to be very angry with us because of our sins and wrong doings. He said that not only the politicians but people from all walks of life have erred and done too much of wrongs to earn this wrath of Almighty Allah.
Jimmy said that it is high time to seek Allah's mercy and blessings to save ourselves from His punishment which is being given to us through devastating floods, dengue fever, killings in terrorism and extremism and attacks on shrines and places of worship in an unending manner. He said for seeking Almighty Allah's mercy and blessings, prayers should be offered as well as spiritualism adopted for overcoming all our sufferings.
He said that this is high time that we collectively and individually seek forgiveness now without any further delay from Almighty Allah otherwise natural calamities and epidemics would continue to hit us one after the other. He said that if all the trillions of rupees allocated during the last more than six decades for development projects in all spheres of national life by the Federal and the Provincial Governments were utilised honestly the situation would have been much better now.
