'Nawaz received funds from Osama to topple Benazir government'

Sindh Information Minister Sharjil Memon on Tuesday alleged that Nawaz Sharif received funds from Taliban and Osama bin Ladin to topple the democratic government of Benazir Bhutto. The minister said that Nawaz was playing politics over the issue of rains in Sindh.
He was responding to the questions asked during the press conference held at committee room of New Sindh secretariat building, here on Tuesday. Memon rejected the allegation of Nawaz and said that the PPP did not have any militant wing. Rana Sanaullah used to get help of people of banned outfits in Punjab, he added.
Secretary General PPPP Raja Parvaiz Ashraf said that Nawaz should not play politics over massive destruction caused by rains in Sindh. PML-N should avoid political point scoring and be united to handle this situation. He said that Nawaz should have visited Sindh with 2000 volunteers instead of 500 personal bodyguards.
The minister said that Zardari had appealed Nawaz to visit the rain-affected areas of Sindh and they did appreciate his step of visiting Sindh. He said that PPPP has not played any kind of politics on any natural calamity. President Zardari has directed the federal government to help out the Punjab government in order to eliminate dengue. Sindh Law Minster Ayaz Soomro said that Nawaz met with so-called nationalist Mumtaz Bhutto instead of visiting the rain-hit areas of Sindh. "Mumtaz does not have any support of the masses as he could not even win the seat of his Union Council. I am son of a teacher and worker of PPP and I have defeated him twice," he added.
