Lahore High Court here Tuesday issued notice to the director general Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for September 26, restraining it from making further appointments on the post of assistant director (legal). The petitioner, a candidate Sohail Mushtaq, contended that the LDA announced four seats for the 'assistant directors' post.
He appeared in NTS test and secured more than 50 percent marks while the other candidates got less than 50 percent number. He, however, was rejected in the interview while other candidates were selected after giving them extraordinary marks in interview. He alleged that merit was not followed and appointments were made on political interference in the case. He prayed to the court to set aside the appointments allegedly made on political grounds.
