BOC Pakistan re-brands as Linde Pakistan Limited

An integration process that began five years ago to create a world leading gases and engineering company has reached a new milestone: BOC Pakistan Limited officially re-brands as Linde Pakistan Limited. Linde AG acquired The BOC Group in September 2006, forming The Linde Group.
The brand change from BOC to Linde in Pakistan is part of a global programme to unite the 'companies within The Linde Group umbrella under a single Linde brand. Linde is Pakistan's leading industrial gases player, with the most comprehensive gases product portfolio and turnkey services in the country. Its facilities include air separation plants in Lahore, Port Qasim and Taxila as well as carbondioxide plants at Port Qasim and Multan.
The company is also presently building a new state-of-the-art air separation (ASU) plant in Lahore at an investment cost of about Rs 2 billion. The new plant, which is capable of producing 150 tons per day (tpd) of gases products, will be the largest merchant air separation plant in the country once it is ready in the first quarter of 2012.
Yousuf Mirza, Chief Executive of Linde Pakistan while briefing the media about company's re-branding at a local hotel here on Monday said, "We mark a momentous milestone in the history of our company today. We are proud to become Linde in Pakistan, and aspire to double the size of our business here within the next five years. With the strong backing of our parent company The Linde Group, we expect to further increase our footprint across the country and reinforce our market leadership".
Lee Bon Hian, Linde's Head of Cluster Countries for Linde's gases business in South and East Asia said, "Pakistan has been an important contributor to our business in this region and we continue to be extremely positive about the many market opportunities we see here.
Linde is actively seeking opportunities to achieve strong and sustainable growth of our business and to ensure we are welt positioned to support our existing and potential new customers in their growth plans". From 19 September 2011 onwards, the company's new logo wilt make its appearance on all corporate signages, communications materials and assets. The conversion period is expected to last several months.
