The Punjab government has imposed section 144 in Lahore, on the recommendation of Sri Lankan health experts, to stave off the spread of dengue. According to the Lahore District Co-ordination Officer Ahad Khan Cheema, car washing in streets, on roads and at public places of Lahore will be prohibited, a private TV channel reported.
TV quoted DCO as saying that a strict action will be taken against those who spill water outside their houses, shops or at any open place, adding that to comply with the law people must cover the water tanks of their houses.
