US Plains HRW wheat bids steady

Published Updated

Hard red winter wheat basis bids were steady on Thursday as farmers focused on winter wheat seeding and seedbed preparation in the US Plains. Temperatures were turning cooler and there were increased chances for rain in some of the dry areas of the wheat belt. More rain was forecast on Friday and Saturday.
The US Agriculture Department said on Thursday morning that weekly export sales of wheat totalled 413,500 tonnes, down 19 percent from the previous week and down 7 percent from the prior four-week average.
