Torrential rain wreaked havoc in Quetta, where four children were killed and several houses were damaged. After heavy rainfall, several areas came under water here due to poor sanitation system. In several low-lying areas, water sneaked into houses, causing problems for residents. Two children, Qudratullah and Samiullah, were swept away in rainwater in Chalo Barori.
Another five-year old kid lost his life when rainwater entered a house in Mitha Chowk. In another incident, a young boy died of electrocution on Jinnah Road. He was identified as Bahadur Ali. Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has asked for report into losses.
