Gunmen kill two security officials in Bannu

At least six gunmen ambushed a military vehicle on patrol in Bannu on Wednesday, killing two security officials and wounding two others, police said. The attackers, believed to be pro-Taliban militants, opened fire on the army pickup from both sides of the road in Sarai Khan on the outskirts of Bannu city, local police chief Sajjad Khan told AFP.
Security officials confirmed the attack and casualties.
