"Apart from some hand to mouth deals demand remained slack with buyers hardly wanting to buy the firmer levels due to poor margins for consumers," one broker said.
South American soymeal was offered between unchanged and $2 a tonne up with CBOT soymeal futures and the easier dollar, which supports dollar-priced products. Bids were scarce and no deals were reported.
Most other products were quoted flat to a bit firmer following the trend in soymeal and stronger rapeseed futures. Some underlying demand was noticed, but deals were not reported.
