Despite non-payment of bill: SSGC providing 180mmcfd gas to KESC

Despite non-payment of gas bill for the month of July 2011, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is providing 180mmcfd gas to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), which is its minimum and basic requirement, the SSGC sources said. According to the SSGC sources, the KESC has not yet cleared SSGC's gas bill for the month of July 2011 amounting to Rs 2.2 billion, which was due for payment on August 22, 2011.
The gas bill for the month of August 2011 of Rs 3.2 billion has also been raised, which is payable on September 22, 2011. The SSGC's receivable amount from KESC now rose up to Rs 30 billion approximately.
