The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday sought detailed report from Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) relating to problems faced by Pakistanis on the country's airports while returning from abroad. A three-member bench headed by Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan and comprising Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the case.
It is pertinent to mention that Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja has taken notice of the CAA lapses on his return from Canada. The CAA Senior Legal Officer Obaid-u-Rehman and Airport Manager of Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, Asghar Fahim appeared before the bench and submitted a detailed report regarding inconvenience caused to the passengers due to mishandling of baggage on conveyor belt. However, Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) was directed to submit a detailed report relating to problems faced by the overseas Pakistanis at the motherland's airports on the next date of hearing. The court adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
