Interior Minister Rehman Malik has disclosed that 14, 000 acres of state land is under illegal occupation. Interacting with journalists at State Guest House Sunday, Malik said a strategy has been put in place to initiate action against land grabbers.
"President Zardari has advised me to stay in Karachi so that peace could be restored in Karachi," he said.
"Ninety five percent political flags and banners have been removed from the city." He said that MQM would return to the PPP-led government whenever it desired so. "If political flags were seen in any other, the concerned SHO would be held responsible," he added.
