Seven killed, four injured in road accident

At least seven people were killed and four others were injured when a bus crashed into a car and a truck on Sargodha Road near here on Thursday. According to details, a speeding bus (FSA-5070) hit a car (LEA-5869) and a truck (FDY-3793) near Kamal Pur Patrolling Post on Sargodha Road. As a result, five people, Yasir (32) son of Manzoor, Arif (35) son of Nisar, Zahid (28), Mukhtar (37) son of Aslam and Qari Sahib (39), died on the spot.
The Rescue 1122 shifted Gulzar (35) son of Sardar of Jaranwala to Allied Hospital in a critical condition. The Rescue 1122 spokesman said that locals voluntarily shifted five other injured people to hospital before the Rescue ambulances reached the spot. Emergency in charge Allied Hospital Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Manj confirmed that two injured expired after reaching the hospital, while three others were still under treatment. Eyewitnesses said that the ill-fated people belonged to Muslim Town on Sargodha Road and were returning from Chiniot after a picnic at the River Chenab.
