Karachi law, order case: Supreme Court urged to summon Mirza as a witness

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan has said that the allegations levelled by Zulfiqar Mirza are very serious, which should not be ignored. "The Supreme Court has already taken notice of the matter and should summon Mirza as a witness," he was talking to the media men after Eid prayers, here on Wednesday. He said the rulers in Islamabad are US slaves and advancing an American agenda.
"Conditions are being created in the country similar to the one in East Pakistan prior to the fall of Dhaka," he said. Earlier, in his address to the Eid congregation at Mansoora mosque, Munawar reiterated that the war on terror is not our war; it is the US war and owning it would only darken Pakistan's future. He counselled the rulers to announce pulling out of this war forthwith and added that the drone attacks would stop with that. "People do not know how many persons are being killed in drone attacks every day," he remarked. According to him, if only Nato supplies were cut off, drone attacks would stop.
However, he added, instead of adopting that course, government is giving more facilities to Nato. No other nation in the world would facilitate its enemy in such manner. On Karachi law and order, the JI chief said the situation is being worsened deliberately to complete the enemy's agenda. Similarly, he said, there is a plot to tear apart the mineral rich Balochistan from this country so that the enemy could grab it. "As long as the people vote for MQM, target killing and extortion would continue. Therefore, it is high time the people of Karachi and Hyderabad announced not to vote for MQM," he said.
He announced that the JI would hold a referendum against the US on September 30 and later stage a sit-in against load-shedding, drone attacks, price hike and US slavery, on October 2.
