Umrah pilgrims: efforts being made to help stranded Pakistanis

Counsel General of Pakistan Abdul Salik Khan said on Thursday that all efforts were being made to send back around 150 persons who had been stranded at Jeddah Airport. Salik Khan said these people had since been shifted to hotels and were being provided proper care.
He told private TV channels that some technical problems emerged suddenly and unexpectedly and for this reason, they could not leave for Pakistan. He said: "We are trying to help them so that they could return to Pakistan as soon as possible."
