REAP's Founders Group wins all MC seats

The Founders Group has won unopposed all the five seats of the managing committee from the North Zone of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP). Those who have been elected unopposed include Javaid Islam Agha, Chaudhry Samee Ullah, Salah Uddin and Tahir Afzal Warraich on four vacant corporate class seats and Sher Zameen Khan on one vacant seat of the associate class.
According to REAP spokesman, Javaid Islam Agha, Chaudhry Samee-Ullah, Salahuddin and Tahir Afzal Warraich filed their nomination papers for the four vacant class seats of the associate class while Sher Zameen Khan filed his nomination paper on one vacant seat of the corporate class.
The members of the election commission met on Tuesday to scrutinise the nomination papers for issuance of provisional list of the candidates from North Zone against five vacant seats of the managing committee. However, as no other candidate had filed his nomination papers against these, the members of the election commission for REAP election 2011 declared them elected unopposed. The official results of both North and South Zones of the REAP will be announced at the annual general meeting scheduled for September 30, 2011 in Karachi.
