PBA condemns violence against Khyber News staff

The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) Board of Directors in a meeting held here on Friday strong condemned the wanton act of violence against the staff members of Khyber News. The PBA Board of Directors was informed that this dastardly attack came after a series of threats issued to the channel.
This uncalled for act negates all forms of civilised methods of protest and tantamounts to a serious attempt to stifle and strangulate the freedom of speech, expression and freedom of information of general public at large. PBA expresses complete solidarity with its members channel Khyber News against this act of violation and demands both the Federal Government and the Government of KPK to take an immediate notice of the incident and take strong action against the responsible persons. It was also unanimously resolved, that a delegation 61 PBA directors headed by its Chairman should personally go and meet with Chief Minster KP, to register its strong protest.-PR
