Egypt's national carrier, EgyptAir, resumed Saturday its flights to the Iraqi capital Baghdad after a 20-year suspension. "The resumption of the service was delayed more than once due to low numbers of passengers and several problems including those related to security," EgyptAir chairman Hussein Massoud said.
The first flight took off from Cairo with 30 passengers aboard, he added. The airline would operate two flights to Baghdad per week instead of four due to low demand.
