Karachi carnage: Supreme Court approached for judicial commission's appointment
Wattan Party has approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan through its president Hashim Shaukat for appointment of judicial commission to enquire into the carnage in Karachi. The petitioner contended that there is drug mafia, land mafia, and criminal gangs operational in Karachi.
Besides this, some foreign interference has been witnessed to worsen the situation, as they like to have their hold in the city to play their ulterior motives against Pakistan and the Muslim community. He pointed out that UNO human right commission has also stated its intentions about Karachi situation and desire to take action in Karachi under article 55 &56 of UNO. He prayed to the court to restrain the respondent government from calling military in Karachi as it would be a breach of Article 55 & 56 UNO and other resolutions of General Assembly.
