Two children used for camel race to get Rs 72,000

Director General Social Welfare, Malik Muhammad Aslam has said two children in Faisalabad who were used for camel race to get Rs 72,000. This was dilated in information of the Social Welfare Department received here Tuesday. The Social Welfare Department Punjab is implementing a project with the co-operation of UNICEF for the economic rehabilitation of the children used for camel race in Gulf States and an amount of Rs 72 thousand each is given to such children who reach the age of 18.
The department has also extended financial assistance to such children in Rahim Yar Khan. The Director General will also distribute Eid gifts among poor and destitute persons in Faisalabad. Each gift pack will contain ration of Rs 2000. The purpose of distribution of Eid gifts is to share Eid happiness with the deserving persons.
