Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that young generation is determined to ensure a bright future for the country and transform it in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal in real sense besides removing the disparity between the Pakistan of the rich and the Pakistan of the poor.
The youth will strive for such a Pakistan where there is supremacy of justice, everyone has equal rights and which is free from corruption and plunder. He said that politicians have not come up to the expectations of the nation while the military dictators ruined and disintegrated the country. "Today we pledge that we will march forward by learning a lesson from the past mistakes and will make Pakistan a great country under the leadership Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif", he added.
The Chief Minister said that gathering of position-holder students of matric examinations throughout Pakistan under one roof in the City of Iqbal is a sign of national unity. He prayed that may the same spirit prevail in Karachi as well and it also becomes a heaven of peace and tranquillity.
He was addressing the prize distribution ceremony held in honour of position holders of matriculation examinations through out Pakistan at Chief Minister's Secretariat here on Sunday. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Members National and Provincial Assembly, intellectuals, columnists, Vice-Chancellors, teachers and a large number of people belonging to various walks of life attended the function.
Addressing the function Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the position holder male and female students in matric examinations throughout the country have given a message to the entire nation through their speeches that they all are one and will restore the hustle and bustle of Karachi with the same spirit and make it again city of lights. He said that the students by dint of hard work and getting prominent positions in the examinations have proved that no one has exclusive right over talent and they obtained this position through hard work, attention of the teachers and prayers of the parents who brought them up with hallal earnings. He said that those rulers who uphold justice, rule of law and serve the masses get popularity and respect among the masses, whereas those who deceive the masses, bow before "aghayaar" and plunder the resources have always to face humiliation.
He said that Hasni Mubarik who ruled Egyption for 35 years has become an example for the entire world. His friends and all forces supporting him have left him alone. Unfortunately, plundering is rampant in the country and it has weakened its foundation. He said that some people criticise setting up of Daanish schools. He invited them to see the performance of these children. The confidence which demonstrated by the students of Daanish schools in the function has proved if latest and quality facilities are provided to the poor, they are equally intelligent and keeping in view this concept, the project of Daanish schools has been launched for promotion of knowledge in backward areas so that poor and common man has also this feeling that he has as much right over the resources of Pakistan as elite.
