More than 100 companies and individuals relating to various services have enrolled themselves at Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) while 25th August has been set as the last date of enrolment and taxpaying, Business Recorder has learnt. SRB has extended the dates of enrolment and paying of sales tax on services till 25th August 2011, and filing of returns till 27th August 2011.
With addition of 100 more taxpayers now, the figure has reached 2,300 while the process of enrolment has continued and taxpayers are registering themselves at SRB on daily basis. According to the list of FBR, more than 4,000 taxpayer companies and individuals have to enrol themselves at SRB.
In this connection, spokesman of SRB told Business Recorder that first time in the history, Sindh, through SRB, is collecting sales tax on services, and transaction of more than Rs 800 million has been done in this regard. A big share of this amount has been deposited in SRB's account while the remaining would also come in the kitty of provincial government within next couple of days.
