Islamabad Police held 19 outlaws including eight beggars during last 24 hours, recovered illegal arms during a raid in outskirts of the Federal Capital, while people were deprived of their cash valuables and vehicles.
Unknown thieves struck in Muslim colony Barri Imam in the jurisdiction of Secretariat Police and deprived the residents of valuables including cash, clothes, electronic appliances and utensils. Secretariat Police arrested two persons namely Gulzar Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed, but failed to recover the looted commodities.
Kopral Police in response to a tipoff raided a kiln in Tarlai Area in outskirts of Federal Capital and recovered one 222 rifle and five bullets, one 12 bore double barrel gun and seven cartridges. Police arrested Javed Iqbal Munshi of the kiln.
Car lifters stole a Margalla Car No LOB-4151 from F-8/1, when the owner of the car parked it outside a UN office. Margalla Police registered a case and started investigation. Sabzi Mandi foiled a dacoity bid when it responded to a tipoff. Police were informed that gangsters are gathered at Gandum Godam I-11 and are planning a dacoity somewhere in Islamabad. Police raided the house and arrested five outlaws namely Shakeel, Arshad, Asghar, Farooq Shah and Asif. During the preliminary interrogation they confessed that they were planning a dacoity and admitted their involvement in many other incidents. Police recovered three pistols from the detained outlaws.
Sabzi Mandi Police during campaign against beggars arrested four persons including a woman who were begging in I-11. The detained beggars including a woman are identified as Asif, Wazir Gul, Asrar and Naureen. Women Police arrested four female beggars from F-6 area and took them to beggar home. They are Rema, Surriya, Amna and Sughra.
Meanwhile, in a reshuffle in Capital Police many Inspectors have been transferred and posted in different police stations. Inspector Hakim Khan is transferred from Rescue 15 and posted as SHO Secretariat, while SHO Secretariat Inspector Asjad Altaf is transferred and posted as SHO Nilore. Inspector Tanveer Abbasi SHO Nilore is transferred and posted in Rescue 15. Inspector Khalid Mehmood is transferred from Rescue 15 and posted as SHO Aabpara, while SHO Aabpara Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi is transferred to Police Lines Headquarters.
