Nadra taking part in ECP verification drive

National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra)'s 800 data acquisition units, 220 mobile registration vans and offices countrywide would help in door to door verification campaign of electoral rolls draft, Deputy Chief Nadra, Tariq Malik said Saturday.
Addressing a news conference here, he said over 37 million people are unverified voters without identity cards. He said 150 million people are not identified in the old voters' list, while the 1.2 million have fake and 2.5 million have duplicate identities. It has been ensured that one person casts vote only once. He further said that over 36 million new voters with valid CNICs have been added in the draft electoral rolls, handed over to the ECP.
