A bill on historical mosques and shrines cess fund was tabled in Provincial Assembly on Saturday. Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani presided over the assembly sitting. Minister Habibur-Rehman Muhammad Hasni on behalf of Minister for Religious and Minority Affairs tabled bill "The Balochistan Historical Mosques and Shrines Cess Fund (Amendment) Bill 2011, Bill No 09 of 2011".
The bill was exempted from the rules of the Assembly conduct of business, 1974. In question hour, replying to a question put by Pakistan Muslim League-Q MPA Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail, Minister for Balochistan Development Authority Haji Nawaz Khan said that desalination plant for Gwadar city was placed at port and it could not be installed at earmarked site due to inquiry process.
However, Mandokhail said that although Rs 1 billion funds had been incurred so far but on some pretext, the plant was not installed so far. Speaker Bhootani asked Senior Minister Maulana Abdul Wasey to convey the issue to Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani. Later, after completion of other proceeding of the assembly, the chair adjourned the house till Tuesday, August 16.
