More 200 companies and individuals related to various services have been enrolled at Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) while 15th August is last date of enrolment, official sources told Business Recorder on Saturday. With addition of these 200 taxpayers now the figure reached at 1642, while the process of enrolment still continues and taxpayers are getting registered at SRB.
The last date for registration and tax payment at SRB is 15th August and the last date of filing returns at SRB is 18th August, sources said. Sources admired the quick response of companies and individuals in this regard and hoped that all registered taxpayers would also file their returns as per schedule.
Spokesman of SRB told Business Recorder that taxpayers' response is very admirable and they are getting registered on daily basis. He said that hundreds of taxpayer companies and individuals are registering at SRB and filing their returns as well. He advised the companies related to various services to pay sales tax on services (SToS) for July 2011, to Sindh government as required under law and rules and any violation of provision of law shall be proceeded against accordingly.
He said that after enactment of Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act and rules which have taken effect from 1st July 2011, it is binding and mandatory on all service providers who have provided and rendered taxable services in Sindh in the month of July 2011, to enroll, file return and pay Sindh Sales Tax on Services to Sindh revenue Board. SRB has framed the procedure of input tax adjustment and tax payers would be facilitated according to the law and rules, he added.
