Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to establish its own oil and gas Company: Hoti

Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtukhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, said that for the development of the oil and gas resources and getting of maximum benefits an Oil and Gas Company at the level of the provincial government is being established. Addressing a public meeting in Kharkai, district Mardan, he said that first time in the history of Mardan it is being provided with funds in proportion to its population.
He says that he could not think of the development of his home district at the cost of other districts of the province. The public meeting was presided over by ANP activist Engineer Abbas Khan. The public meeting was also addressed by former candidate PK-28, Gohar Ali Shah Bacha. On this occasion, member provincial assembly Ahmad Khan Bahadar, former district nazim, Himayatullah Mayar, senior officials of the police and distraction administration and a large number of ANP workers was also present.
The Chief Minister said that he has special affection for the Baizai area as he has started his political carrier from here. The brave and courageous Pakhtuns of the area he said battled British Raj due to imperialistic powers kept it backward intentionally. However, he said the provincial government has expressed its resolve of the removal of the backwardness of the area.
The development of the communication sector, he said, is the top priority of the government saying the construction of new roads brings progress and development to the area. He said that foundation stone for the reconstruction of Mardan-Katlung Road has been laid, which will be completed at the cost of Rs 400million.
Similarly, he said that Ghando to Kohibarmool Road would cost Rs 64million and Landay Shah to Ghando Chowk Road Rs 44.3million. He said that the project for the supply of gas to Kharkai has also been inaugurated. The provision of gas to consumers will start shortly.
The chief minister directed the officials of the communication and works for earlier preparation of the PC-I of the alternative road of Kharkai-Kandao Ghazi Baba Road to Pipal Chowk. He also announced the provision of Rs 70million for the reconstruction of Kharkai-Lundkhawar Road and a development fund of Rs 10million for each union council of the PK-28.
He said that work on the construction of Begum Nasim Wali College at Sawalder is in progress while work on the Girls Degree College, Katlung, will start in next few months. Similarly, the Baizai Irrigation Scheme is help irrigate thousand of agricultural land which will put the area on the path of progress and development.
