Forex reserves decline to $17.975 billion

The country's foreign exchange reserves have dropped by $337 million to $17.975 billion in the week ending August 6, 2011 from $18.312 billion a week earlier. According to latest statistics reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have posted a decline of $313.3 million to $14.465 billion during the last week from $14.778 billion a week earlier. While, foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks have decrease by $24.3 million to $3.51 billion.
