Pakistan Cables profit after tax increases

The profit after tax of Pakistan Cables Limited has increased to Rs 85.682 million in the year ended June 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 45.506 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 3.34 in the period under review against Rs 2.12 in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Wednesday recommended a final cash dividend for the year ended June 30, 2011 at Rs 2.00 per share ie 20 percent. According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 4.096 billion in this period against Rs 3.798 billion in the same period last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 3.576 billion against Rs 3.386 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 146.682 million in FY11 against Rs 52.306 million earned in FY10.
