At least four more persons including an activist of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) were killed in separate incidents of targeted killings at various parts of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to police and eyewitnesses, a 30-year-old man was gunned down at Baldia no 8 near Noorani Ground in the limits of Saeedabad police station.
Police said the victim, who was identified as Yousuf Baloch alias Babu son of Dost Muhammad and a resident of Baldia no 9, was working at KMC. They said the deceased was not only active worker of PPP but also remained associated with Peoples' Amn Committee (PAC).
A gunny bag having bullet-riddled body was found near Meera Nakkah Bridge in the jurisdiction of Sherasha police station. Police said the identity of the body was yet to be ascertained, while it was found near Meera Nakkah Bridge. They said the victim, who wore Shalwar Kameez. The body was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities and later moved to Edhi Morgue till identification.
Yet another bullet-riddled body was found in a gunny bag, near trash-pile located at Nashtar police limits. The identity of the victim was not confirmed, while he was found in blue paint and white shirt. A 28-year-old man was shot dead at Jama Cloth market in the limits of Arambagh police station. Police said the victim was identified as Asif, 28, son of Jameel. The body was shifted to CHK for post-mortem and later handed over to his heirs.
