The Deputy Speaker, Shehla Raza, will act as Speaker of the Provincial Assembly in the absence of Nisar Ahmed Khuhro with effect from August 8, 2011. The Sindh Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday announced that the Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has been appointed as acting governor Sindh, therefore according to the Article 53 (3) read with Article 127 of Pakistan's Constitution, Shehla Raza will act as Speaker Sindh Assembly, an official hand-out said.
