Religious leaders to celebrate Independence Day

Local religious leaders Mufti Hidayatullah Pasroori, Mufti Ghulam Mustafa Rizvi, Mufti Abdul Qavi and Maulana Muhammad Yasin while saying Pakistan came into being at the eve of Laila-tul-Qader, has proposed to celebrate Independence Day.
They expressed these views in their separate statements issued here on Wednesday. They said that Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal desired implementation of Islamic system in Pakistan and not Communism, as implementing the law of Allah Almighty in country was the only system which treats rich and poor as equals. He said that the rulers should mend their ways in the holy month and present themselves for accountability.
Mufti Hidayatullah Pasroori said that rulers following the foreign dictates shedding the blood of their brethren, while the rich averts the law and the only target were the poor masses. He said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) presented a wonderful system for running an Islamic state, which treats rich and poor as equals. He said that enemies of the Muslim community were targeting each Muslim country one-by-one and advised the Muslims to get united at a single platform to foil the evil designs of the enemies of Islam and Muslims. He said that there would be no need of the loadshedding if the president, prime minister, chief minister houses and government offices cut their unnecessary power usage. Commenting over the suicide attacks and terrorism, they all said, "Killing innocent people is against the definition of a Muslim, while Islam is the religion of peace".
