Nawaz vows to rebuild country through 'revolutionary' approach
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif has held the PPP government responsible for failures and challenges posing the country. Addressing PML-N senators, MNAs and MPAs from Lahore at his Model Town residence on Saturday, Nawaz criticised the PPP government for its indifferent attitude on important issues.
He said the basic obligation of the government is to provide protection to life and property of its citizens but the government has failed to establish peace and maintain law and order in Karachi. He said that Karachi is hub of the country's economy and deteriorating law and order situation there is badly affecting the investment climate there.
He deplored that the PPP government is showing non-serious attitude in resolving the issues like price hike, load shedding, lawlessness, unemployment and terrorism. He said the attitude of the government had caused disappointment among the countrymen, but the PML-N would keep the spirit of Pakistani nation alive and resolve people's problems.
"Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has the capacity to salvage the country from the present crisis. The long march had proved that Pakistani nation is the flag bearer of the supremacy of the Constitution and justice," he said, adding that "PML-N is set to present agenda of change in true sense." He said: "We will rebuild the country through the revolutionary approach."
Nawaz said Pakistani nation had suffered a lot due to dictatorship, natural calamities, terrorism and inaptness. But now is time to provide the much-needed sigh of relief to the people. The meeting decided to celebrate Independence Day with great pomp and show. It was decided that the PML-N would hold Jashn e Azadi rally on August 13 in Lahore beside holding other events on August 14. Nawaz asked the party legislators to celebrate the Independence Day with enthusiasm and also pay attention in resolving public issues.
During the meeting, party's affairs also came under discussion and the PML-N President directed to complete the process of reorganisation so that party elections up to tehsil level could be completed.
