Islamabad police unearthed a fake beverage company involved in making fake soft drinks of well-reputed brands. The factory has been sealed and two persons arrested. Nilore Police had received information about a fake beverage factory situated in Tumair village in the outskirts of Islamabad, spokesman of Islamabad Police said, here on Saturday.
Responding to the tip off, SHO Nilore, Inspector Tanveer Ahmed Abbassi led a team and raided a poultry farm in Tumair where a fake beverage company was operating. There, fake brands of Pepsi Cola and Dew and Miranda were prepared, the spokesman said. Police recovered 300 cartons of bottles of various brands from the site and arrested two persons identified as Muhammad Qadeer s/o Muhammad Boota and Saif-ur-Rehman. Efforts are being made to arrest the owner of the factory Mirza Maqsood.
