Rates tend upward on grain market

Most of the commodity items tended higher on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new Burdan maintained upward trend, rising by Rs 10 at Rs 2560-2575, Khandsari picked up sharply Rs 300 to Rs 8500 and makai lost Rs 50 to Rs 2125 and better type followed suit, losing Rs 25 to Rs 2175, other items maintained the same levels, they said.
On the rice sector where Irri-6 Sindh gained Rs 75 to Rs 3750 and better variety also rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3800, dealers said. On the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type was up by Re 1 to Rs 1075 and the best type was higher by Rs 20 to Rs 1120, they said.
