Independence Day celebrations: DC Hyderabad for elaborate arrangements

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo has called attractive and impressive plan from all Deputy Commissioners of the Division within a week time to celebrate Independence Day on district, taluka and union council level with zeal and enthusiasm.
This he asked the Deputy Commissioners while presiding over meeting regarding arrangements for celebrating Independence Day in the region in effective manner. He asked the individuals and heads of different organisations to prepare their proposals in consultation with other stakeholders but their proposed programmes must be result-oriented and visible performances with the relevant theme.
He said that flag hoisting ceremonies, academic functions like competition in debate, essay writing on independence day, Tehreek-e-Pakistan, national songs, Naat, Qirat must be included in the programme. In addition to that pictorial exhibitions of the HEROS of Tehreek-e-Pakistan, sports activities like Malakhra, cricket should also be arranged with the collaboration of Provincial Culture Department. He said that in order to create awareness among the young generation about the Tehreek-e-Pakistan, Education Department must arrange informative programmes during the celebration.
The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo directed Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Asif Ali Memon also to arrange illumination, fire works one day before the Independence Day and added that there should be a central flag hoisting ceremony in the Divisional Headquarters Hyderabad. He directed all the public and private school managements to participate in the Independence Day celebration. He directed the WASA and Municipal Administration for maintaining cleanliness and efficient system of water supply and sewerage at each celebrating point. He asked the officers to arrange fruits/sweets distribution among patients in hospitals, BARA KHANA in prisons in the off hours of fasting.
