The Lahore High Court on Thursday directed Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to allow petitioner to sit in examination for the post of deputy director in the Planning Department. The petitioner Bilal Shaukat contended that PPSC rejected his application for advertised post on a plea that his experience certificate was not duly signed by the authorities.
A deputy director legal of the PPSC appeared before the court on Thursday and said that the petitioner had not approached any officer concerned of the PPSC and his application was rejected by a clerk. At this court remarked that it appeared the clerk mafia had taken over the charge in the PPSC. He observed, "PPSC is a responsible institution conducting examinations of officers above grade 17 but its working is in bad condition." The court therefore allowing the petition, directed the PPSC secretary to entertain the application of the petitioner and allow him to partake examination for the advertised post within seven days.
