Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Wednesday ruled out military operation in Karachi and urged all the political parties to sit together and deliberate to improve the law order situation in the city. Talking to media outside the parliament he said, "I do not see any operation in the Karachi. All political parties, all stakeholders should have to sit together and sought out political and administrative solution to the issue."
However, he was of the view that politics of allegation should be stopped as it will not serve the country's interest. He said interior minister Rehman Malik has announced a number of steps to improve the law and order situation in Karachi. To a question, he said, "MQM was an independent party and whatever decision it makes, it would be acceptable to Pakistan People's Party". To another question he said killing of innocent people in the holly montth of Ramzan is disappointing "The holy month of Ramzan teaches us peace, love, brotherhood and harmony and killing of innocent people is disappointing," he remarked.
