A member Lahore High Court Bar Association here on Tuesday has approached the Lahore High Court against recent increase in electricity tariff and prayed to the court to declare the same as illegal. The petitioner Rana Alimdin contended that respondent government increasing loadshedding day-by-day and instead of decreasing the electricity prices increases illegally, unconstitutionally and without any justification.
He also contended that a number of government departments are defaulters of Wapda in billion of rupees and Wapda instead of recovering from them shifting the burden to the poor people.
