Slight changes were seen on the currency market on Saturday in process of trading, dealers said. The rupee shed two paisa in relation to dollar for buying and selling at 86.55 and 86.59, they said.

On the contrary, the rupee maintained downward slide and further declined against the British pound. The pound's buying and selling rates were increased from overnight closing of Rs 140.00 and Rs 140.50 to Rs 140.80 and Rs 141.50, respectively, the dealers added.
The dollar opened at Rs 86.00 (buying) and Rs 86.30 (selling) against the last rate. It did not observe further change in the second session and closed at Rs 86.00 (buying) and Rs 86.30 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 138.30 (buying) and Rs 138.45 (selling) against the overnight value. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 138.30 (buying) and Rs 138.45 (selling).
