A nine-member delegation from Thailand, led by Nat Pinyowattanacheep, Minister, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs visited TDAP on Thursday. The team included delegates from Thai Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Thai Industries, Board of Investment, Statistics and Research Bureau and MOFA. Consul General and Arif Suleman, Honorary Trade Advisor, Consulate General of Thailand, Karachi were also present in the meeting.
Javed Anwar Khan, Secretary TDAP briefed the delegation about bilateral trade between Pakistan and Thailand. He informed that TDAP was planning to open a gems and jewellery facility in the vicinity of Karachi airport, for which he sought technical co-operation from Thailand.
Nat Pinyowattanacheep appreciated the warm welcome extended to them by TDAP. He said that Thai government attaches great importance for enhancing trade with Pakistan. He assured that Thailand would extend technical co-operation to Pakistan in many fields including gems and jewellery, seafood and alternative energy solutions etc.-PR
