Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is holding a seminar on July 28 which aims to increase awareness and understanding of the viral hepatitis. An official of the institution said here on Tuesday that it provides an opportunity to focus on specific actions such as prevention, screening and control of viral hepatitis and increasing Hepatitis B vaccine coverage.
Considering the importance of the issue, WHO has declared July 28 as `World Hepatitis Day' with the aim to raise global awareness of Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C to encourage prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
