Ten examination centres were set up in different cities including Lahore and 41,000 candidates for 4,000 seats had appeared in the test. In Lahore alone 4,000 candidates (male and female) had appeared in the test at UET. The candidates blamed that the entry test paper had already leaked out.
Talking to newsmen, University Vice chancellor, Muhammad Akram said on reports of leak out of a paper he had called a meeting of the UET management. When it surfaced that some portion of the paper had actually leaked out he decided to annul the entry test held earlier and a new date would be announced later.
