Shopkeepers believe sales of readymade garments will remain sluggish owing to high prices, during Ramazan, which is around the corner. A visit of various markets indicates that the shopkeepers are not optimistic about huge turnout of customers during Ramazan and blame wholesalers and factory owners for the increase in prices. The public blames both the shopkeepers and the factory owners for increasing prices of readymade cloths.
Some shopkeepers said that price hike was due to the increased cost of production. A readymade dress for ladies costs Rs 2000 to Rs 7000 and even more depending on quality and design at Hyderi Market.
