President Zardari has formed four-member committee to contact Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and other parties on Karachi situation. The President has also barred PPP minister from making harsh political statements. Chairing a consultative meeting of PPP ministers, President Zardari said the committee, headed by federal minister Khusheed Shah, would contact the MQM, ANP, PML-Q and Muslim League-Functional.
Other members of the committee are: Qadir Patel, Agha Siraj Durrani and Ayaz Soomro. The meeting held consultations and discussions on the prevailing political situation and PPP's relations with the coalition partners.
The committee would review the Commissionerate system (restoration) Bill along with three other bills, and hold consultations with MQM and other coalition partners. The meeting was also attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, provincial ministers Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Agha Siraj Durrani, Manzoor Wasan, Ayaz Soomro, Sharjeel Memon, Murad Ali Shah and Shazia Marri. The President directed the party leaders to make law and order in Sindh province their foremost priority and that he wanted to take all the allies along.
