FAP demands to fill vacant posts at PARB

Published Updated

In an urgent meeting of Board of Directors of Farmers Associates Pakistan (FAP) held here on Friday under the Chairmanship of Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi, Vice-Chairman FAP, the members of Board of Directors FAP demanded to fill the vacant posts of the Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB).
Participants of the meeting showed their deep concern on the issue and believed that there was no justification of keeping such top level research posts vacant especially in an environment where already the agricultural sector was facing shortage of funds and research. They said that by keeping these slots vacant the ongoing research projects shall also be suffered.
The meeting demanded of the Government of the Punjab to take urgent notice of the issue and to order inquiry into it, so that the agricultural research process in Punjab could run at its normal pace.
