Capital police have finalised over 61 under investigation cases in two days and submitted challans in the relevant courts as well as presented a report to Inspector General of Police, Bani Amin, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Tuesday.
The IGP directed all police officers to complete probe on all under investigation and pending cases and submit challans to the authorised courts.
He directed to speed up investigation on cases of extreme nature such as murder, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom and dacoity and submit challans to the authorised courts within two weeks.
He asked the officers to report him when they submit challans to courts. Islamabad SSP Tahir Alam Khan has also instructed all SHOs to complete under investigation cases and submit challans to the courts.
He said negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He warned of strict departmental action against any officer found guilty of dereliction.
