Ghazipur fire incident: Faisal Joiya made head of inquiry team

Punjab Food Minister, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, taking notice of fire incident in Ghazipur wheat storage centre, has appointed Deputy Director, Faisal Joiya as inquiry officer and directed to submit inquiry report in two days. Joiya has immediately been sent to Jalalpur Pirwala for probing into the incident.
The minister said that a fire broke out in Ghazipur wheat storage centre last night due to which four 'ganjis' (temporary storage) of wheat from stock of year 2010-11 caught fire. The fire burnt 1,000 bags of wheat to ashes. He said strict action would be taken against those officials who will be found responsible of showing negligence in ensuring security of the stored wheat. He added that recovery of the loss would also be made.
