The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Monday announced that trading in the shares of four insurance companies shall remain suspended for a further period of 60 days with effect from July 19, 2011.
"Pursuant to the directive received from Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) trading in the shares of Dadabhoy Insurance Company Limited, Progressive Insurance Company Limited, Platinum Insurance Company Limited and The Union Insurance Company of Pakistan Limited shall remain suspended for a further period of 60 days with effect from July 19, 2011 under Section 9(7) of the Securities and Exchange Ordinance, 1969," the announcement said.
